Concept
"The Silent Sentinel" shows the world from a dog’s view under a dusty gray-blue sofa. In the shadows, a faded yellow ball sits quietly, surrounded by floating dust and bits of fur. The painting uses mostly black, white, and gray, making the yellow ball stand out like a small light in the dark. Scratches on the ball tell stories of past games now forgotten. The blurry, shaky lines mimic how dogs see things. This quiet corner is where the ball—and the dog—wait, unseen but always loyal. The artwork reminds us that even when ignored, a dog’s love stays steady, watching and hoping for its owner’s return.
